Have you ever met the Mormon missionaries on the street or had them come knocking on your door? How did you respond? For most of us, I would dare to say, that we acknowledged them with a pleasant word and smile, but at the same time quickly brushed them off, with a “No Thank You” to their invitation to learn more about their faith. Why is that? As disciples of Jesus, should we not take the time to also lovingly share what we believe with others; especially those who come willingly knocking on our door! Perhaps you work with or have a neighbor, friend or relative that is a Latter-day Saint (Mormon). Have you ever invited them to have a Bible study with you? Again, I would dare to say, probably not! The truth is, it is hard to know how to study with someone of another faith unless you first have a broad understanding of what they believe, let alone how to effectively countermeasure with the Bible what they whole-heartedly believe to be the truth.
Having immersed myself in Mormonism (as an investigator) over the last 20 years, and seeing a definite need for a study tool, I recently devoted several weeks of time, and study to developing a unique set of Bible studies that anyone can do with the Latter-day Saints. I’m excited as to how this writing project turned out and look forward in having the studies published in 2024. In the meantime, they are viewable and available for download on my resources webpage.
