Did you know that that there are seven blessings mentioned in the book of Revelation. Each blessing come with a sure promise to those who heed and hold onto them. As sojourners seeking a better promised land, let us not lose sight of these blessings, knowing our day of redemption draweth near!
Blessing #1
“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand” (Revelation 1:3).
In other words, Happy are they that seek and embrace what is revealed to them from the words of Revelation’s prophecies, knowing the time of the end is close at hand.
Blessing # 2
“Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them” (Revelation 14:13).
In other words, Happy are they that labor for the Lord their God, knowing even in death, the fruit of their labors will be made manifest on Resurrection Day!
Blessing #3
“Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame” (Revelation 16:15).
In other words, Happy are they that are found wearing Christ’s robe of righteousness and not their own filthy garments or no garments at all in the time of their Lord’s coming.
Blessing #4
“Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb” (Revelation 19:9).
In other words, Happy are those who as invited guests, may come and freely partake in communion with Jesus in heaven. “I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom” (Matthew 26:29).
Blessing #5
“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years” (Revelation 20:6).
In others word, Happy are they that die in the Lord, for they shall rise and reign with Him, as priests and kings in heaven. “And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” (Revelation 1:6).
Blessing # 6
“Blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book” (Revelation 22:7).
In other words, Happy are they that heed the words of Revelation’s prophecies, knowing their Lord’s promise of his soon coming is sure and true.
Blessing #7
“Blessed are they that love God and do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city” (Revelation 22:14).
In other words, Happy are they that out of love keep God’s commandments, that they may come into His holy presence and freely eat from the tree of life for all eternity!
