Why Not 1870? Introduction

In the city of Rome, there is a street named Via XX Settemre (20th of September Street). What is so significant about this street name? It commemorates the city’s capture by an Italian army on September 20, 1870, which not only unified Italy as an Italian state (for which it still stands today), but it also marks in papal history the loss of its last papal state (the city of Rome), thus ending its temporal (civil) rule and authority. It wasn’t until 1929 that Italy under the Lateran treaty recognized the papal confines of Vatican City as a sovereign state within the city from which it had once ruled for over a millennium.

This book will not only show why I believe 1870 is a better fit for Daniel’s 1260-day timeline, but how it is foundational to the understanding of Daniel’s 1290, and 1335-day timeline prophecies.
